- About eighty years ago there were three children gathering cockles when a thunder storm broke.
There were men working in a field cutting corn. The children started to run leaving their shoes behind them. When they were passing the field where the men were working a flash of lightening struck one of the men's sickle and made its shape on his chest and he fell dead. Then the children ran for their lives.
