  1. There are a great many signs by which people can tell what sort of weather is going to come. When the train whistle is clear it is going to be fine weather. Seaweed which is hung up will get wet at the approach of wet weather.
    When there is going to be a change in the weather stones will get very damp. crows flying over the wood or over a hill is a sign of wet wet weather.
    If there is a silver ring around the moon it is a sign of very bad weather.
    When blue flames come out of a stick in the fire it is a bad sign.
