- The most common weeds are Buachalán Buidhe, piseach or charlock, nettles, dock root, scutchgrass, thistles chicken weed, crowfoot and black button. They are harmful because they spread rapidly and make the soil poor. Even some of those are used as cures. NETTLES are given to young turkeys and people use them in the spring because they are good for the blood.
