  1. SIGNS OF RAIN

    The wind or the mist coming from the direction of Carrickk is a bad sign for the people around Kilcash and Ballypatrick.

    When the old people around here complain of pain or their corns they say its a sign of bad weather.

    When the people of Ballypatrick see fog coming down the mountain Sliabh na mBan they say it is a sign of bad weather.

    Another sign of bad weather when the walls are damp in this district, at least that saying is fairly common around here.
