  1. Said on rising in the morning.
    "Good morrow day.
    The Lord may keep me from going astray
    The Lord may keep me from shame or blame
    And I get up in the Lord's name."

    At Night
    "Good night night
    The Lord may keep me from getting a fright
    The Lord may keep me from shame or blame
    And I lie down in the Lord's name"

    For Stopping Flow of Blood from Wound
    "In a stable at Bethlehem Jesus was born
    In the River Jordan Jesus was baptised
    Jesus spoke and the river stood
    In the name of Jesus stop the blood."
    When any person was wounded in the district, certain people who had power to stop the blood were sent for. On arriving they bandaged the wound and repeated the above prayer, when
