    When the sky has a green appearance lots of rain may be expected. if it is raining in the morning with a grey sky and a white line underneath towards the South it is a sign that the rain will continue all day. If rain which has been falling during the morning does not stop at noon it will continue all day.
    If the mountain looks far away and foggy it is a sign of fine weather, but if it looks very near and has a dark blue colour it is a sign of rain. If the dust blows up off the road it is a sign of rain.
    If many midges can be seen in the evening it is a sign of rain.
