    Out if the cloud gets bigger it is the sign of rain. Big white fleecy looking clouds are a sign of broken weather.
    North and East winds generally mean fine weather but West, South and South-West winds are a sign of bad weather.
    If swallows fly low it is a sign of bad weather If crows are seen circuling around trees or standing about in fields it is a sign of bad weather. if sea-gulls are plentiful inland it is a sign of rain.
    When cats sit with their backs to the fire rain may be expected. If you see a horse with his back to the ditch or animals grazing during rain it is a sign that the rain will continue
