  1. Marriage Customs
    Marriages take place mostly before Lent. Most of those marriages take place on Shrove Tuesday.
    It is unlucky to get married in the month of January.
    It is an old custom when the married pair comes out of the church they throw money out of the car. Some people tie old boots out of the car or they throw them after it.
    There are old rhymes connected with marriage customs:-
    "Monday for Health"
    "Tuesday for Wealth"
    Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for Losses
    Friday for Crosses
