  1. Long ago my Grandfather John Sheehan of Killusty, used to go out on hire cutting hay for the farmers, he used to cut more than one acre of hay in the day. He used to start at eight o'clock in the morning, and used ti walk six miles after his day work. When the corn was fit to be cut, he used to reap one and a half acres in the day. That was the way they use to earn their hire long ago.
