    An order of friars lived near the old church in Drangan.

    An order of friars lived near the old church in Drangan. During the time spring water was remarkably scarce. Consequently the friars miraculously brought the present well. As a proof of this fact, the well was always called t"obar na mbrathar" by the old people.
