    The site of our present church was the orchard of the castle. The old legends connected with the castle say that a crock of gold is supposed to be buried near the orchard house under a gooseberry bush in the field at the back of the church.     About three miles south-west of Drangan there is a bridge called Gleann-na-muice-duibhe bridge,
