  1. Tramps come to our house now and again. The same tramp comes always. The people call him Greasy pockets and he lives in Cahir. Sometimes the sell article which includes pins and matches and other things of small value. Sometimes many of these things are bought. They are usually welcomed in the houses and they stay for the nights. They sleep in the hay-barn but they do not bring their own food. They ask for money and in the Autumn they ask for apples. They usually travel walking but not in groups. Sometimes they tell stories and people come to near them.
