- When Sarsfield was riding to Ballyneety he encamped for a small while near a little village named Cullen. He sent scouts out to look for the siege train. On rounding a bend the scouts beheld the siege-train. They returned and reported to Sarsfield. He rode up to the corner and looked at the siege-train. Then he said, "Let us Venture". Ever since that day that place is called the venture. After that Sarsfield returned to the camp and collected his men. then he attacked the siege train and blew it up.(continues on next page)
