  1. In the parish of Rosegreen there is a farm with two forts on it. There is a house on one of the forts and the following story is told by the people about it. The present owner's grandfather came from the County Cork. When he bought the farm there was no dwelling house on it, so he commenced to build one on the side of a fort about 300 yards from the road. Another fort is in the same field. When the house was about to be built he was visited one night by a little man from the other fort and warned that if he did not build his house some place else, he would never have any luck. His horses, and cattle died, and his crops failed. A light can still be seen in the second fort and nobody likes to go near it.
