"To Tom Devereux" replied Ryan. Needham rode away. Within 48 hours police called to Tom Devereux with the pardon and the Ryans returned home.

Round dear old Hacketts Hill
Twas from there I spied a maid
Beneath the Church of Kill
She was modest fair and handsome
As any could behold
Twas on her dress I do confess
Was many a robe of gold.
I vouch I'd win this beauteous love
Mid every up and down
To cheer my old declining years
