1.Holy Water is sprinkled on the cows on May Day when they are put out on the grass so that they will milk well during the year.
2. When calling the cows, people say ''Pooey Pooey''.

4.A Polly is a cow without horns.
5.A young calf is sprinkled with salt after he is born to make the cow drink well after licking him.
6.On bonfire night a big bon fire is lighted and the cows are made jump over it so that they'll be lively enough to do so always.
7.A spancel is put on a cross cows legs to keep her quiet while shes milked. a spancel is a rope with a knot on one end and a loop at the other. It is placed round her back leg twisted and put around the other back leg. The know is then slipped through the loop and the cow cant stir.
8. A red white cow is called a roam cow.
9.Some farmers cut off the cows horns to make them good looking.
10. A small cow is called a deseter.
