  1. One day Denis Kilmerny was at a fair in Cashel. He went in for a meal. The woman of the house laid a pig's head and cabbage on the table.
    Denis laid at the meat, and was making inroads on the pig's head. The woman noticed it, and in order to check him, asked him why was he not eating the cabbage.
    "The Devil send me novelities while I have mate" replied Denis.
