  1. Told by Edward Dunne Ballytarsna
    A Haunted House
The house in Ballinree where Jack Heffernan resides is known as Father Kirwan's. The old people said that there was a ghost in one of the rooms, and it was never opened by anybody. At a certain hour every night, the people heard noises and things being pelted around the room.
When Father Kirwan came to live in the house, he banished the ghost down into the loch in front of the hall door. The room in the house is shut up and nobody goes into it.
