    3. It is unlucky for her to get a telegram on her way to church.

    6. A fine day, or if dull or misty in the morning if it clears later, it is a sign of good luck.
    7. The bridegroom must be always at the church before the bride.
    Coming Home - When the couple were married the man rode a horse and his wife rode behind. Mr O'Dwyer says his grandmother came home that way. He is 75 years of age, and the saddle is still in his loft.
    The Wedding - The wedding-party returned to the bridegroom's home, and they feasted and danced until the following morning.
    The Pillion - The married pair rode home on a pillion on one horse. The young man rode on a saddle in front. The pillion was like a cushion filled with curled hair. It was attached behind the saddle. The bride sat on it with her arms around her man. It was a gallop home on saddled horses
