  2. There is a man in this parish who makes baskets. The first thing he does is he gets a thick briar and he ties the ends together with sallies. Then he puts a sally in the middle of the basket and weaves sallies under and over it. Then he puts a sally at each side of the middle one and he keeps weaving until the basket is made. Then he puts a sally under the briar to make a handle and he weaves sallies around it.
