  1. There is a holy well in the townsland of Clonomocogue in the parish of Loughmore. It is known as Saint Cronan's and the district is known as Croonawn. It may still be seen and its waters are supposed to cure sore ears. Those living near still remember people coming and even taking bottles of this water away to cure others. They usually left some offering at the well. It's waters are used for drinking only.
    There is another holy well in the townsland of Maradyke. It is in a field belonging to a man called Mr Grimes. More than fifty years ago this well was
