    When the sky is red at sunset in the Winter it is the sign of frost.
    When the Devil's Bit is in the garden it is the sign of rain.
    When the Devil's Bit seems far away it is the sign of fine weather.
    When the fog rolls up the Bit in the morning it is the sign of a fine day.
    When the fog rolls down the Bit in the morning look out for rain.
