    The potatoes are dug in Autumn with a digger, or sometimes by a plough or spade. It is usually the people or children from the farm pick the potatoes or sometimes they get help from their neighbours. When the potatoes are picked they are put in a pit and are stored up for the Winter, for the use of the farm. The potatoes ar chosen in the pit or when the people are picking them they sometimes choose them.
