    very old and some have been erectedlately. There is a big stone cross in the corner of the graveyard. It is called St Cronan's cross because the Saint is said to be buried here under this cross. A story is told of it.
    One day when some of Cromwell's soilders were trying to knock it down, the cross bled and the man who was trying to knock it down was struck dead. The shape of his knees were left at the foot of the cross and can be seen there still.
