  1. Outside Borrisoleigh there is a fort called Mike Andrew's. Many stories have been told about this fort; this is one of them.
    One night a man was walking by the fort and heard a sound like music. He stopped, listened, and heard the same sound again. He went into the fort and saw a small man dressed in red wearing a green cap and playing a fiddle. The man was very frightened when he saw this sight, and when he looked again the little man had vanished.
