  1. The birds met with in this district are the sparrow, lark, wren, robin, hawk, goldfinch, bullfinch, thrush, tom tit, bluetit, wagtails, blackbird, kingfisher, swallow, cuckoo, corncrake, fieldfare and crow.
    The swallow and the cuckoo come to us in late Spring and leave us at the end of the Summer. The fieldfare comes in May.
    The crow, magpie, goldfinch, hawk and wood-pigeon build their nests in trees.
    The wren, robin, tom tit, blackbird, bullfinch and thrush build in bushes.
    Some such as the lark, corncrake, pheasant and partridge build on the ground.
    The yellow hammer, bluetit, swallow, sparrow and fieldfare build in holes and cracks.
