    So Beauitful to stray
    Where the wild perfume of the
    hawthorn bloom,
    And the woodbine scents the way
    The heather brown upon the hills
    The wild flowers on the lea
    The shady road winds on between
    So lovely Fair Ileigh.
    Ileigh, it is a beauty spot
    Down in a shady glen
    The green hills rise above
    And many a sparkling Fell
    Here the trees are evergreen
    The flowers you'll always see
    The roses' perfume scent the air
    In lovely Fair Ileigh.
    At evening hours in the old kiln
    field
    You will see the boys so bold
