A Flint spearhead was found in the bog at Knockbrittas about a mile from Kilcommon Village.

A French coin, silver bearing the date 1642 was found in a field at Ruska two miles east of Kilcommon village. It bore on one side the inscription
Louis XIII DG REX FRAETNAV
and on the other side SIT NOM DOM BEN
A coin date 1689 was found last November in a potato field at Cummermore two miles south of Kilcommon.
It bears on one side the King's Head with the Insciption
Jacobus II Dei Gratia
and on the other side
MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX 1689
These are tracings of the Coin
A horseshoe having eight holes was found at Reiska.
