  1. Long ago the people used make bread with barm.They used make the barm in this way. They used boil some potatoes. Then they used hole a piece of tin and grate the potatoes against it, and put the grated potatoes into water. All the flour would go to the bottom of the water and they used make barm from that.
    The Ryan ( Báns ) of Reafadda had a quern long ago, and they made their own flour.
