  1. There are several types of herbs on the land. Some of them was used in the making of medicine. One of these plants is called vervine. It was used in the making of medicine, and this verse was said when pulling it :- “ Vervine, vervine, vervine,
    On mount calory you first was found to heal the sick and cure all sores,
    And in the name of Jesus I’ll pull you out of the ground.”
    The medicine was made with lard and vervine and anything it was put to would soon heal.
    The dandelion which grows in fields and on ditches can be boiled and be given as food to pigs.
    The nettle is a very tall plant only grows in rich soil. It grows in rich soil in large quantities.
    A wine can be made out of elder berries and it is very good for invalids to drink it. Some people think that they are poisonous.
