  1. It's on this bed I lie down to sleep.
I pray to God my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake,
I pray to God my soul to take.
There are four corners on this bed.
    Four angels over it spread.
Saints Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God Bless mea nd this bed I lie on.
God Almighty free me as free as the Jews.
That came on Good Friday with their spikes and spears so sharp
To pierce our sweet saviour through his sacred Heart
The blessed mother standing by, With a doleful heart and a pitiful eye.
