There are three Graveyards in this parish, One is in Ballina Churchyard, one in Templekelly and other in Kilmastulla. Templekelly and Kilmastulla are very old but Ballina Graveyard is only there about one hundred years. Templekelly is high up from the road and slopes to the east. There is a ruin of an old Church in it and the dates on the tomb-stones are as far back as the 17th century. The Head-Stones are mostly dome-shaped and others are crosses of cement or iron. The name means the Church of the ferry and people pronounce it in the Irish way yet. Evidently people crossed over the Shannon to the Church there
