  1. There is a well in our field in Curraghmore and the people call it The Spa Well. It is down in a glen under a high field and the spring is coming out from under the field. There is a red sort of slime coming out with the water. The water contains iron and it is good for the blood. People come there on a Sunday and drink out of it.
    The people tell that the landlord's wife, Mrs Poe, came there and took a sample of the water. She was supposed to have it tested and found out it that it was a very good iron well. There was a rumour at this time that she was going to build a
