  1. In olden days people supplied the light of their houses with homemade candles. These candles were made with the pet of rushes dipped in grease and left in a dry place to season for a week. Also in the olden times people used to make baskets which were very useful for washing and picking potatoes. The baskets used be made of sally rods woven across.
