  1. The bread which they had long ago was made different from the bread that is made nowadays. The people used make oaten meal bread, potato cakes, whole meal bread and bock bread. The oaten bread was made in a griddle and it was very hard to eat. The bock bread was made of new potatoes and boiled potatoes. The potato cake was made of boiled potatoes mashed up and salt and butter and flour on them. At Christmas they used to have loaf bread and in later times they used have currant.
