  1. There is a Holy well at the back of Egan's house in Ballycahil. This well is called St Patricks well because he blessed it when he was teaching the True Faith in Ireland.
    Once a man was sick for ten years, and no doctor could cure him. He dreamt one night that if he went to the well when night would come he would be cured. When night came he went to the well and drank some of the water out of the well he would be cured. When night came, the man went to the well and drank some water and was cured.
