  1. There is only one tailor now in this locality viz. Tim Gough. He works at home.
    The people around here usually wear clothes made from heavy cloth and get them lined inside with woollen cloth so as to keep them warm for the Winter. The local tailor uses the usual implements viz. needle and thread, sewing machine, a goose for pressing the seams and scissors.
    Shirts are made yet in the homes by the women and are made from flannel cloth and woollen cloth.
    There is no account of any shirts being made from flaxen cloth.
    Stockings are still knitted locally from thread bought in the shop.
    There are no spinning wheels in the locality. Formerly they were used in many houses but have been broken up and burnt since the spinning of thread fell into disuse.
