    I have heard of many names of the fields around the farm at home or near the farm.

    I have heard of many names on the fields around the farm at home or near the farm. I am going to explain now how the fields got their names.
    Grace's field is so - called because it was owned by the Graces. The Four Acre because there are four acres of land in it. 'Cantwell's field' got it's name because it is owned by the Cantwells.
    The Plough Field is so called because there is ploughing carried on there. The 'Little
