    I have often heard of old place names around Nenagh but the most important ones are the following.
    The Fort Field got its name because there is a huge Fort in the field.
    "The Flowery Vale." There was a girl crossing Bennett's field when she came to the bank of the river she saw some beautiful flowers and she picked them up and every time she picked one, another would spring
