    There are several old castles in the school district.

    There are several old castles in the school district. One at Nenagh beside the Church which was built in 1200 by Theobald Fitz-Walter who came to Ireland with Prince John and selected the site of the Aenach as the place of his principal residence and built here the great Keep now known as Nenagh Castle. The walls are about 100 feet high and 17 feet thick. There is some fine masonry work in it. It is a
