    In my native district Nenagh there is a population of about four thousand five hundred.

    In my native district Nenagh there is a population of about four thousand five hundred. The number of families amounting to about one thousand and fifty, there are some very big families and others are small.
    The houses are roofed with slates and very few of them are thatched in the town.
    The following names are very common in my district :- Ryans, Bourkes, Mc Graths, O' Briens, Flannerys, Hayes's and O' Dwyers.
