    My home district is Clashnevin Lower in the Parish of Ballinree, in the electorial division of Ballymackey and in the barony of Lower Ormond. There are three or four families of Ryans, Mearas, Mc Graths and Mc Carthys in the parish.
    Nowadays most of the houses are good slated houses. There are only about six thatched houses in this district. There were a good many more houses in former days. Between this place and Ballymackey there were
