“A man named Meagher ceased attending Mass every Sunday to hunt hares.”
A man named Meagher ceased attending Mass every Sunday to hunt hares. One Sunday his dogs "rose" a hare and chased her for miles but they could not catch her. At last she ran into the ruins of a house. When Meagher came up an old woman was leaning against the wall with her leg bleeding. She said to Meagher "You had better got to Mass and not be hunting me". The man was very frightened and always went to Mass after that.
