    Mass in Puckane. They thought it too far to be coming to Mass and one Sunday they asked the parish priest of this parish to give them permission to build a church in Carney.
    The parish priest said he could not possibly give permission and Mr. Ffrench said very bad things which hurt the priest very much.
    The next Sunday the priest gave a speech outside the chapel gate and he cursed the Ffrenche's and said they would all die young. In two years they were all dead except Mrs Ffrench.
