  1. (continued from previous page)
a little fairy. The fairy stopped him and asked him would he like to go for a good ride on a bullock. The man's name was Pat. He said he would. The fairy got two bullocks one for himself and one for Pat. He told Pat he must not talk until the ride was over. Pat agreed to this.
Then they mounted and got on great. When they come to the Shannon, the bullocks gave a great leap and landed at the other side. Pat was delighted with the ride. He forgot his promise and said "good little bullock". At that the fairy vanished and so did the bullocks. Poor Pay was left sitting down on the (...) Hills, and thinking how he would get home.
All these forts are round. There is an entrance to all of them. Inside hazel trees, blackthorns and ask trees grow.
