    The landlord of prospect was John Cardan of Barnane.

    He was out in a foreign country. He had an agent for collecting the rent known as Webb. Webb used sit inside the windows. There was a hole in the window to allow your hand to enter. When the tenants came to pay the rent they handed the money in through the windows. The would not be allowed any further inside the premises.

    Garvey was the landlord of Ballyhogan and Kildangan.

    Garvey was the Landlord of Ballyhogan and Kildangan. He was looked upon as a bad landlord. Many evictions took place in the district. People named MacGraths of Dromineer were evicted. The were allowed back to their home again.
