Puckane - Collected the following:Up to fifty years ago matches were made by certain people called 'match-makers'.
The dowry given to the man was usually cattle or some sort of animals.
Now money is given as a dowry.
Long ago when people were to be married
Mass was celebrated in the bride's house on the morning of the marriage. The bridegroom attended a the mass and both received Holy Communion.
