    Quite convenient to St Augh's well is another called (and marked so on the survey map 25") Toberaughan.

    50. The Irish language must have died out early in the eighteenth century in North Tipperary. The tombstones give testimony - not a word of Irish on any of them.
    51. These are six of the oldest bearing inscriptions:
    Anne Shiell, died 1762; Charles Connors, died 1768;
    John Reddan, died 1767; Winifred Quigley, died 1769;
    Darby Cormick, died 1770; John Kennedy, died 1779.
    Timothy Slevin, died 1773.
