    2 Fogs rise on moors or callows near the Shannon.

    5 Swallows fly high. Birds sing on the highest branch, and commence their songs early in the morning.
    6. The sky appears to be far away or very high.
    7. Hens, ducks and geese get out in the early morning in search of worms.

    10. The new moon stands on its end.
    11. The sea-gulls fly back back towards the sea, or towards the Shannon in this locality.

    13 Moths fly round a lighted candle in the evening, or they appear on the windows
    14. The air is calm and also rivers and lakes are calm. Springs fall when weather is fine.
