'St.Swithin's day if thou be fair
For forty days it will mean no rain'
    'Saturday's moon comes seven years'
'A fine June makes the farmer whistle a nice tune'
'A dry february, a wet summer'
'April showers bring forth May's flowers'
'A speck of dust in March is worth a Kings ransom'
'Rain before seven, clear before eleven'
    Summer Winds
The last three days of the moon between April and May are sure indications of what summer it will be.To know how the winds will turn out.Observe the twenty fourth day of November and according to it the winds will prove: also obseerv the pigs- If they grunt with their heads towards the north th winds will be hard.
